1. Scope and effective date

Effective date: September 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy covers the TenantProof mobile app and this website. The app works on iOS and Android. The same privacy principles apply on both platforms.

TenantProof keeps your rental records on your device by default. They remain there unless you delete them or choose to export, share, back up, or move them elsewhere.

2. Information stored on your device

TenantProof has no backend or server. It does not require an account or login. The app stores the following information locally on your device:

  • property names and addresses
  • room names and room configuration
  • inspection dates and progress
  • photos and other evidence
  • condition labels
  • notes
  • comparison results
  • language, theme, and other app preferences
  • limited purchase entitlement and cache information

Do not enter information that is not needed for a rental record. In particular, avoid sensitive personal information about other people.

3. Storage, export, and sharing

Property records, room configuration, inspection data, photos, notes, preferences, and purchase entitlement information are stored locally on your device. The core inspection workflow does not require an account or login. TenantProof does not automatically sync your data through iCloud or Google Drive.

When you export a PDF report, TenantProof creates the report temporarily and opens the standard system Share Sheet. You choose whether to save, send, print, or share the file and which service receives it. Possible destinations include Mail, Messages, Files, cloud-storage apps, or other installed apps. Once a report is transferred to another app or service, that provider’s privacy practices apply.

This website does not ask you to submit property records, photos, or inspection data.

The current version of TenantProof does not use advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.

4. Device permissions

TenantProof uses Camera access to take evidence photos. It uses Photo Library access to select existing photos. You can deny or change these permissions in your device settings. Without them, the related evidence features may not work.

Saving or sharing a generated report is handled through the operating system’s standard Share Sheet.

5. Optional purchases

If you purchase TenantProof Premium, the Apple App Store or Google Play processes the payment. TenantProof does not receive your full payment card details. The platform may provide purchase or entitlement information needed to activate or restore Premium features.

TenantProof may keep a limited local entitlement record on your device so Premium access can be remembered. This cache may include the product ID, Premium status, the time purchase information was last updated, and a transaction reference where the platform provides one. TenantProof has no backend, so it does not perform server-side receipt validation.

6. Terms of use (EULA)

Use of the TenantProof app is governed by the standard agreement of the applicable platform: Apple Standard EULA for iOS or Google Play Terms of Service for Android.

7. Your choices and deletion

You can delete an entire Property in the app. Before Move-In is completed, you can edit or delete room configuration and evidence where the app rules allow it. After Move-In is completed, the room structure is locked to preserve the inspection record, but you can still delete the entire Property.

Local records remain on your device until you delete them through the app, delete the related Property, or remove the app, subject to the operating system’s storage and backup behavior. Uninstalling the app removes local application data according to platform behavior.

Copies that you export, share, or back up outside TenantProof must be managed separately. TenantProof does not control those copies or external backups. For privacy questions, use the support contact in the app store listing for your version.

8. Children’s privacy

TenantProof is a general-purpose rental documentation tool intended for renters, property owners and landlords, and property professionals. It is not directed to children. We do not knowingly ask children for personal information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our data practices change or when we need to add clarification. The effective date at the top of the page changes when we post a new version.

TenantProof documents rental conditions recorded by the user. The app does not make legal determinations.
